The online application process will be available from February to April 2019 on this website. The result of the election will be published in September 2019.

General information
— The candidates must be nominated by three individual members of the Academy (3 supporting sponsors). Preferably at least one sponsor should be from the candidate’s home country. Sponsors are limited to three nominations at each election.

— The candidates from countries where there are few or no members and who have difficulties to find three member sponsors should discuss their situations with the Secretariat before submitting any application files.

— The candidates elected by the Council will be introduced during next General Assembly by the President of the Academy.

— The candidates for individual or affiliate membership must have read and accepted the terms “privileges and responsibilities” of membership.

— It is up to the candidates to submit a complete file.

 

Application fee
Payment is made after completing the form. (Methods of payment: Paypal, Visa, Mastercard and bank transfer.)

Application fee have to be pay at the latest April 30, 2019 after this date if the application fee remains unpaid the application file will be not submit for election. 

— Individual application fee CHF 150.-

— Affiliate application fee CHF 200.-

Membership fee for members
Members have to pay an annual membership fee of CHF 150.- for individual member and CHF 200.- for affiliate member. 

Important information regarding the online application
— With the online application, the candidate can apply directly and takes responsibility for providing a complete file. The candidate has to create his/her candidate account with a personal email address. Do not use the email address of a sponsor.

— The documents uploaded by the candidate artists, in case of election, are showed automatically on their member personal page.

— Complete all steps of the online form; on the last step, in order to validate your application, accept the general terms and proceed to payment of application fees. 

— For procedural reason the office cannot reply to each request for application confirmation during the registration period. The office sends an official confirmation at the lastest the month following the closing date.

 

 

   

Individual Membership

 

Artist candidates
Makers as ceramist, designer, architect

complete application file includes:

— A letter of motivation from the candidate stating his/her acceptance of nomination and the reasons why he or she wishes to become a member. (1 letter PDF)

— A letter of recommendation from each of the three sponsors with reasons for their support. (3 letters PDF)

— The candidate’s biographical summary and her/his resume, including date of birth, complete address (telephone, fax, email and web site) and memberships, education, solo and group exhibitions, juried exhibitions, competitions, commissions, collections, scholarships, related professional activity (such as teaching, guest teaching, examiner, lecturer, workshop conductor, relevant administrative and organisational experience), travels/network, awards, bibliography. (1 PDF)

— 5 digital images of work (5 jpeg, png or gif, max dimensions 3000 x 3000 pixels, resolution 300 DPI, max size 7 MB each)

— Add any relevant reviews, articles or catalogues. (max 3 PDF, max 5 MB each)

Note:
— The affiliation in the category Artist offers the possibility to exhibit in the Members’ Exhibition, subject to the exhibition criteria.

Other individual candidates
Writers, curators, collectors, cultural ambassadors, gallerists, restorers, teachers

complete application file includes:

— A letter of motivation from the candidate stating his/her acceptance of nomination and the reasons why he or she wishes to become a member. (1 letter PDF)

— A letter of recommendation from each of the three sponsors with reasons for their support. (3 letters PDF)

— The candidate’s biographical summary and her/his resume, including date of birth, complete address (telephone, fax, email and web site) and memberships, education, solo and group exhibitions, juried exhibitions, competitions, commissions, collections, scholarships, related professional activity (such as teaching, guest teaching, examiner, lecturer, workshop conductor, relevant administrative and organisational experience), travels/network, awards, bibliography. (1 PDF)

— In addition, articles, catalogues, photographs and other appropriate evidence of professional engagement in ceramics-related activity. (5 PDF max 5 MB each)

— This affiliation does not offer the possibility to exhibit in the Members’ Exhibition.

 
 

Candidates for Affiliated Membership

Affiliated Membership

(museums, galleries, foundations, associations, ceramic centres, schools, publishers)

complete application file includes :

— A letter of recommendation from each of three sponsors with reasons for their support. (3 letters PDF)

— Visual or written evidence of the professional activities of the organisation with appropriate programmes, membership lists, exhibitions and other evidence of professional activity in ceramics. (5 PDF max 5 MB each).

Note:
— This affiliation does not offer the possibility to exhibit in the Members’ Exhibition.
