I do not make functional pots, but rather use the vessel as a subject to give form and meaning to an expression. The content of a vessel is literally the space within it. A vessel defines emptiness as a presence. 

Idea becomes meaning. 

A large part of the reason for making is to see things that I have never seen before, to build something that I cannot fully understand or explain.  I am full of questions.  I search for the content of a vessel.
