Porcelain
My first encounter with porcelain, as matter and means of expression took place when I was at college. Its lyric poetry touched me… In my works of porcelain, functionality and plasticity have become separate. I have always been interested in the transformation of consumer goods and the metamorphosis of things dictated by changing fashions of different ages.
I could compare the process of creating porcelain objects to the writing of a sonnet, controlled by strict rules and discipline.
