"100 Variations on the Small Bowl."

This image of a single bowl represents a major work composed of 100 small bowls, each one about 5 inches (12 centimeters) in diameter, yet each a slightly different shape, each with a completely different foot, each with completely different decoration.  The work is titled, "100 Variations on the Small Bowl."  These one hundred porcelain bowls were recently on view at the Springfield Museum of Art, Springfield, Ohio, USA. 

I maintain a studio in Delaware, Ohio, USA, and teach ceramics and ceramic art history a few days a week at Columbus College of Art & Design, Columbus, Ohio, USA.
