THE 2020 IAC NEW MEMBERS’ EXHIBITION AND SEMINAR “NEW TRENDS IN INTERNATIONAL CERAMIC ART DEVELOPMENT”<\/p>\n

The New Members’ Exhibition should have been held within the framework of the IAC Congress in July 2020. The Covid-19 pandemic required us to employ creativity and rethink the format of the exhibition. The collaboration between the Beijing Guozhong Ceramic Art Museum and the IAC made it possible to meet this challenge. Under the patronage of Mr. Zheng Zhi, the Chairman of Yuanyang Investment Group, the museum team and the event coordinator Mr. Guangzhen Zhou, IAC Council member representative for China (from 2014 – September 2020), fully invested themselves in this project and actively contributed to the success of the exhibition and the seminar.<\/p>\n

The New Members’ Exhibition is being held from November 7 to December 12, 2020 at the Beijing Guozhong Ceramic Art Museum in China. The works of 144 artists are on display virtually, whilst those of 62 artists are present in the in situ exhibition and its 3D version. On the occasion of the inauguration on November 7, an international online seminar was organised.<\/p>\n

Among the speakers who took part in the inaugural ceremony, 3 new artist members of the IAC in 2019 presented their work and artistic approach, namely King Houndekpinkou (France, Benin), Adam Chau (USA), and Belinda Blignaut (South Africa). Their presentations are available in text format hereunder (only in English).<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

During the seminar, several IAC member guest speakers spoke about the development of new trends in international ceramics, including Torbj\u00f8rn Kvasb\u00f8 (Norway), Liu Zheng (China), Claudia Casali (Italy), Wayne Higby (USA), Janet DeBoos (Australia), Wan Liya (China), and as seminar moderator: Jacques Kaufmann (France). The seminar is available in text format in the right column (in English only).<\/p>\n

EXPOSITION 2020 DES NOUVEAUX MEMBRES DE L'AIC ET S\u00c9MINAIRE \"NEW TRENDS IN INTERNATIONAL CERAMIC ART DEVELOPMENT\"<\/p>\r\n

L'exposition des membres aurait d\u00fb \u00eatre pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 dans le cadre du Congr\u00e8s AIC en juillet 2020. La pand\u00e9mie de Covid-19, nous a amen\u00e9 \u00e0 faire preuve de cr\u00e9ativit\u00e9 et \u00e0 repenser la forme de l'exposition. La collaboration entre le mus\u00e9e Guozhong et l'AIC a permis de relever ce challenge. Sous le patronage de Mr. Zheng Zhi,\u00a0Pr\u00e9sident de Yuanyang Investment Group, l'\u00e9quipe du mus\u00e9e et le coordinateur de l'\u00e9v\u00e8nement Mr Guangzhen Zhou, membre du Conseil de l'AIC repr\u00e9sentant pour la Chine (de 2014 - sept. 2020) se sont investis pleinement dans ce projet et ont contribu\u00e9 activement \u00e0 la r\u00e9ussite de l'exposition et du s\u00e9minaire.<\/p>\r\n

L'exposition des nouveaux membres se tient du 7 novembre au 12 d\u00e9cembre 2020 au Mus\u00e9e d'art c\u00e9ramique de Beijing Guozhong en Chine. 144 artistes sont expos\u00e9s virtuellement et 62 artistes ont particip\u00e9 \u00e0 l'exposition in situ et \u00e0 sa version 3D. \u00c0 l'occasion de l'inauguration du 7 novembre, un s\u00e9minaire international en ligne a \u00e9t\u00e9 organis\u00e9.<\/p>\r\n

Parmi les intervenants qui\u00a0ont pris part \u00e0 la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie inaugurale, 3 artistes nouveaux membres 2019 de l'AIC ont pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 leur travail et approche artistique, il s'agit de\u00a0King Houndekpinkou (France, Benin),\u00a0Adam Chau\u00a0(USA),\u00a0Belinda Blignaut (South Africa).
