Tinne Debruijne
I descend from a long line of artists. 4 generations.
My great-grandfather was a Gobelin tapestry weaver, my grandfather was an exceptional portrait painter and my mother is a textile designer. At the age of 5, when visiting her at the art academy, I got lost, wandering in the hallways of this giant building that had so many secrets and undiscovered art disciplines behind every door. I was finally found in the potter’s class, completely mesmerized by all those students working with this magic substance called clay. At that moment I knew that this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life!
With a background as an interior architect and later as a web designer, design has always been like a second nature but the urge to realize my own handmade creations brought me to the art academy of Leuven (Belgium), where I finally found what I had been looking for, all those years … 25 years and many workshops & masterclasses later, I manage to realize my projects, touch people with my work and love to share my knowledge and the passion for clay.
