\u00a0L'Acad\u00e9mie Internationale de la C\u00e9ramique, en collaboration avec le Comit\u00e9 d\u2019organisation du Congr\u00e8s Barcelona 2016 proposent aux membres de l\u2019AIC de participer \u00e0 une exposition dans le cadre prestigieux du nouveau Mus\u00e9e du Design-DHUB de cette ville.\r\n

Quelle que soit l'orientation du travail, celui-ci devra \u00eatre accompagn\u00e9 d'un court texte d'intention qui sera inclus dans le catalogue et dans l'exposition.<\/p>\r\n

Selon le cas, d'autres m\u00e9diums peuvent compl\u00e9ter la pr\u00e9sentation, tels que: images, vid\u00e9o, maquettes, etc... , afin de rendre visibles les intentions, projets ou r\u00e9alisations de l\u2019auteur.<\/p>\r\n

Exposition<\/span>\u00a0
L\u2019exposition sera pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e durant six semaines dans une des salles d\u2019exposition du Design Hub Barcelona. Le vernissage aura lieu le 13 septembre.
Les \u0153uvres s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9es doivent rester expos\u00e9es toute la dur\u00e9e de l'exposition.
Les \u0153uvres livr\u00e9es apr\u00e8s la date limite ne seront pas accept\u00e9es.
Les \u0153uvres seront renvoy\u00e9es, au plus tard un mois apr\u00e8s la fin de l'exposition.<\/p>\r\n

Texte d\u2019intention de l\u2019artiste<\/u>
<\/strong>Peut contenir la position conceptuelle de l'artiste concernant le th\u00e8me, une description du processus de cr\u00e9ation, etc ....

Langues pour la documentation<\/u>
Tous les documents doivent \u00eatre r\u00e9dig\u00e9s dans une des langues du Congr\u00e8s: anglais, fran\u00e7ais, catalan, espagnol.<\/p>\r\n

Formats maximums des \u0153uvres<\/u>
- Pour les pi\u00e8ces volum\u00e9triques: maximum 1 m\u00e8tre cube
Poids maximum: 500 kg
- Pour les panneaux ou travaux \u00e9quivalents \u00e0 exposer aux murs : maximum 2 m\u00e8tres (en longueur ou en largeur).
- Pour les installations: maximum 2 m\u00e8tres carr\u00e9s
- Photographie: une ou plusieurs photos, total maximum de 2 m\u00e8tres (en longueur ou en largeur).
- Vid\u00e9o: le mat\u00e9riel num\u00e9rique sera accept\u00e9 sous ces formats: mov, mp4, MPEG, DVD, etc ... et v\u00e9rifi\u00e9 par la Commission d\u2019Exposition.
Dur\u00e9e maximum: 10 min.
Une image de haute qualit\u00e9 doit \u00eatre fournie avec la vid\u00e9o pour la documentation.
- Remarque compl\u00e9mentaire: Le format des travaux pourrait \u00eatre modifi\u00e9 \u00e0 la demande motiv\u00e9e de l'artiste et apr\u00e8s approbation de la Commission d'Exposition.<\/p>\r\n

Transport
<\/u>Les frais de transport et d\u2019assurance lors du transport sont assum\u00e9s par l'auteur \u00e0 l\u2019aller comme au retour.<\/p>\r\n

Assurance
<\/u>Les organisateurs assurent toutes les pi\u00e8ces contre les dommages pendant la p\u00e9riode d'exposition, mais en aucun cas pendant le transport aller et retour des \u0153uvres.<\/p>\r\n

Crit\u00e8res de s\u00e9lection
<\/span>Le Comit\u00e9 est charg\u00e9 de s\u00e9lectionner les oeuvres qui remplissent selon lui au mieux toutes les conditions requises en rapport avec le th\u00e8me, dans les limites de l'espace d'exposition, et au sein d\u2019une exposition coh\u00e9rente et diverse des membres.<\/p>\r\n

Une proposition pourra \u00eatre refus\u00e9e si elle ne remplit pas les conditions th\u00e9matiques demand\u00e9es.<\/p>\r\n

Proc\u00e9dure de candidature, nombre d\u2019\u0153uvres, mise en place des travaux
<\/u>Les membres sont invit\u00e9s \u00e0 soumettre jusqu'\u00e0 3 images de leurs travaux via une proc\u00e9dure en ligne qui sera prochainement disponible sur le site web du Congr\u00e8s.\r\n

Les travaux devront r\u00e9pondre au th\u00e8me de l'exposition.
Les images doivent \u00eatre en 300 dpi (qualit\u00e9 d'impression) afin \u00eatre consid\u00e9r\u00e9es en premier lieu.
Le Commission d\u2019Exposition a la responsabilit\u00e9 de v\u00e9rifier et d'approuver la qualit\u00e9 des images fournies par les artistes.<\/p>\r\n

La Commission d\u2019Exposition va choisir une ou plusieurs \u0153uvres par artiste pour l\u2019exposition.
Les travaux soumis \u00e0 examen doivent \u00eatre disponibles pour \u00eatre livr\u00e9s en temps voulu \u00e0 l'exposition des membres.
Les membres doivent pr\u00e9voir \u00e0 l'avance les co\u00fbts d'emballage, d'exp\u00e9dition, et d'assurance.<\/p>\r\n

Les membres sont invit\u00e9s \u00e0 envoyer (et non a amener personnellement) leur travail dans le pays h\u00f4te. Des d\u00e9lais stricts de livraison des travaux seront d\u00e9termin\u00e9s par l'h\u00f4te, afin d\u2019organiser dans un temps ad\u00e9quat la r\u00e9ception, le d\u00e9douanement et la mise en espace des \u0153uvres par le commissaire d\u2019exposition. Les membres qui ne suivent pas ces r\u00e8gles ne seront pas autoris\u00e9s \u00e0 avoir leurs travaux expos\u00e9s.<\/p>\r\n

Le Commission d\u2019Exposition selon ses possibilit\u00e9s et uniquement, si elle est avertie express\u00e9ment, peut accorder des arrangements particuliers.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n

\r\n

Catalogue
<\/span>Un catalogue num\u00e9rique sera produit et imprim\u00e9. Il comprendra une image des \u0153uvres s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9es et quelques br\u00e8ves informations sur l'auteur et la pi\u00e8ce. Le texte des auteurs sera publi\u00e9e dans l'une des 4 langues du Congr\u00e8s.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Destination des travaux apre\u0300s l\u2019exposition<\/span>
Concernant les donations des membres, des informations sur les institutions qui conserveront les \u0153uvres a\u0300 Barcelone et \/ ou ailleurs en Espagne seront fournies.
3 possibilite\u0301s relatives aux travaux sont offertes aux membres apre\u0300s l'exposition:
A: Retour a\u0300 l'expe\u0301diteur, (les frais de transport a\u0300 la charge du membre)
B: Don a\u0300 une institution culturelle officielle du pays ho\u0302te
C: Don a\u0300 l'AIC (les cou\u0302ts de transport sont couverts par le Muse\u0301e Ariana ou par l'AIC)
Dans ce dernier cas, l'artiste accepte les 2 possibilite\u0301s suivantes:
- le don au Muse\u0301e Ariana
- le don a\u0300 l'AIC qui permet de parrainer les activite\u0301s de l\u2019Acade\u0301mie gra\u0302ce a\u0300 la vente des pie\u0300ces.
La re\u0301partition des dons entre l'AIC et la Collection du Muse\u0301e Ariana sera de\u0301cide\u0301e par une commission spe\u0301ciale de l\u2019AIC et le Muse\u0301e Ariana. Le re\u0301sultat sera communique\u0301 aux artistes.<\/p>\r\n<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n

The International Academy of Ceramics (IAC), in collaboration with the organization of the IAC Congress in Barcelona in 2016, proposes the realization of an exhibition open to all members at the new prestigious Museum of Design, the Design Hub Barcelona (Dhub).<\/p>\r\n

The topic of the Congress and the title of the exhibition is:<\/p>\r\n

\u201cCeramics in Architecture and Public Space\u201d \/ IAC members\u2019 exhibition<\/p>\r\n<\/td>\r\n

\"DESIGN<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
\r\n

Members who wish to participate in the exhibition can propose a work that is related to the topic, either in a direct or symbolic, imaginative or poetic way. Each member can choose a personal approach to the theme, and may develop it in several ways, for example:<\/p>\r\n

\u2014 Architectural elements
\u2014 Public Sculpture
\u2014 Object
\u2014 Urban andscape
\u2014 Mural
\u2014 Interventions in space. Installations,
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Indoor, outdoor)
\u2014 Action, performance
\u2014 Other<\/p>\r\n<\/td>\r\n

\r\n

Whatever orientation the member chooses for his\/her work, it will be accompanied by a short statement, which will be included in the exhibition and in the catalog.<\/p>\r\n

Depending on the proposal, submissions may be in the form of images, video, models, etc\u2026 and ceramics, of course, in order to realize the intentions of the project or the production of the work.<\/p>\r\n

Exhibition<\/u>
The exhibition will be displayed for a period of 6 weeks in one of the exhibition room of the Design Hub Barcelona. The opening is fixed on September 13th<\/sup>.
The selected works must remain on view for the duration of the exhibition.
The works delivered after deadline will not be accepted.
The works will be sent back, latest one month after the end of the exhibition.<\/p>\r\n

Artists\u2019 statement:
<\/u>May include the conceptual position of the artist regarding the theme, a description of the creative process, etc....
Maximum size: up to 300 words.\u00a0Word format (.doc)<\/p>\r\n

Languages for documentation
<\/u>All the documents must be written in one of the following languages of the Congress: English, French, Catalan, Spanish.<\/p>\r\n

Formats of the works
<\/u>- For volumetric pieces: 1 cubic meter
Maximum weight: 500 Kg
- For panels or similar works to be exhibited on a wall: 2 meters maximum (linear or wide)
-For installations: maximum 2 square meters
- Photography: one or several photographs, in total 2 meters maximum (linear or wide)
-Video: digital material will be accepted under this format: mov, mp4, Mpeg, DVD, etc\u2026 to be checked by Host Exhibition Commission.
Maximum duration: 10 min.
-A high quality picture has to be provided together with the video for documentation.
-Additional comment: the format of the works might be changed, under request and motivation of the artist, and approval of the Exhibition Committee.<\/p>\r\n

Shipping
<\/u>All shipping costs, both ways, are the responsibility of the IAC members.<\/p>\r\n

Insurance
<\/u>The organization will contract insurance for all damages during the displaying period.
The organization is not responsible for damages during transportation.<\/p>\r\n

Catalogue
<\/u>A digital catalogue, with the possibility of a printed version on demand will be produced. It will include a picture of the selected work(s) and information about the concept and the author. The statement will be accepted and published in one of the 4 languages of the Congress.<\/p>\r\n

Selection criteria
<\/u>The Exhibition Committee will select the works to accomplish the requirements of the theme, and insure that the proposition is adapted to the possibilities and limitation of space.<\/p>\r\n

A proposal will be refused if it doesn\u2019t fit the theme.<\/p>\r\n<\/td>\r\n

\r\n

Application procedure, number of works to be proposed, and displayed works in exhibition<\/u><\/p>\r\n

Members will be invited to submit up to 3 images of work through an online submission procedure. Online form available soon on the Congress website.
The works will have to be related to the theme of the exhibition.
Images must be 300 dpi (print quality) to be considered in the first instance.<\/p>\r\n

The Exhibition Committee has the responsibility to check and approve the quality of the pictures provided by the artists.<\/p>\r\n

The Exhibition Committee will choose one or more works from each artist to be displayed.
Works submitted for consideration must be available for delivery at the member\u2019s exhibition.<\/p>\r\n

Members have to check in advance and assume packing, shipping, and insurance costs. Members will be asked to send (not bring) their work to the host country. In order to allow enough time for delivery, customs clearance, curatorial decisions and display, strict deadlines for reception of works will be determined by the Host.<\/p>\r\n

Members who will not follow these rules will not be allowed to have their works exhibited.<\/p>\r\n

Special arrangements can be made through special communication with the Exhibition Committee.<\/p>\r\n

Final destination<\/u> of the works, after exhibition<\/u>
When a work is donated, information will be given about the host institution in Barcelona and\/or Spain.<\/p>\r\n

3 possibilities are offered to the members concerning their work after the exhibition:<\/p>\r\n

A: return to the sender, (who assumes the transport costs for it)
B: donation to a cultural official institution of the host country
C: donation to the IAC (the transportation costs are covered by the Ariana museum or by the IAC)<\/p>\r\n

In this last case, the artist approves the following 2 possibilities:
- donation to the Ariana Museum
- donation to the IAC for sponsoring IAC activities, through selling.<\/p>\r\n

The repartition of the donations between the IAC and the Ariana Museum IAC Collection will be taken by an IAC special Commission and the Ariana Museum, with communication with the artist.<\/p>\r\n
