Chia-Heng(Taipei,1965)was born in Taiwan ,a country of great ceramic tradition and with a large group of potters of great high artistic level,the ceramist Chia Heng,represents a quite exceptional case in his country since his artistic formation realzed in Spain , at the School of Ceramics in the Moncloa in Madrid , where he learned all the traditional technica ceramics in this country and researched lots of ceramic glazes which subsequently has developed in his city,Taipei,integrating in a coherent and intellgent decorative tradition of spanish metal reflex cermic forms belonging to their culture .In other projects , his exhaustive research on locomotion allowed him to make scale models in ceramics of this important historical memory of his country masterfully crating all models of locomotives that have circulated in Taiwan.
He constantly pursue the limit of materials and colors and explore the maximum possibility of creation across ceramics and metal .
Telling stories with pottery and creating impressive artworks is his always-on vocation.
