My works mirror how I was raised by a single mother and how she struggled through taking care of 4 children by selling just grains on errands. Having gone through disturbing challenges and see my mother struggle, I use my work to speak on issues of resiliency and explore spaces to make women self-sufficient and progressive. I look at how women and young artists in the global south especially Ghana can be inspired to develop a resilient practice. My work and project concentrates on guidance, art talks, empowerment, skills development and design thinking. My work and project showcase poetic assemblages which connect strands of ideas and memories that inspires women and young artists to achieve more. It engages the onlooker to go beyond obstacles and move into spaces of opportunities. I attempt to ‘build bridges’.
