Petits et grands monstres fantastiques, êtres colorés, espiègles et étranges, dont les textures rappellent les poupées en papier mâché. Hiboux, chauves-souris, chats, lutins, chimères et bien d’autres animaux mystérieux composent le carnaval saturé, strié de couleurs de Timothée Humbert.
Né à Paris en 1979, Timothée est céramiste, il dessine, peint et grave également. Diplômé de l’École des arts décoratifs de Strasbourg, il a installé son atelier en Provence où il crée des masques, des figurines et des sculptures. Son univers graphique est décalé. On trouve dans son œuvre des références aux mangas, aux dessins animés, aux objets vaudous, aux graffitis, à la sculpture précolombienne ou à la céramique d’art primitif. De ses dessins émergent des totems, des fétiches en 3 dimensions, des objets incantatoires, des mutants.
Outre une maîtrise parfaite entre construction des formes et spontanéité du geste, le travail de Timothée révèle son travail d’expérimentation, sans limite, sur des effets de texture et son appétit pour la terre sous toutes les formes.

Small and tall fantastic monsters, colorful beings, mischievous and strange, whose textures look similar to papier-mâché dolls. Owls, bats, cats, imps and chimeras and many more mysterious animals make up Timothée Humbert’s saturated and streaked colored carnival.
Born in Paris in 1979, Timothée is a ceramic artist and also draws, paints and etches. Agraduate from the Strasbourg School of Decorative Arts, he set up his studio in Bonnieux a village of Provence where he creates masks, figurines and sculptures. His graphic universe is quirky. There are references in his work to mangas, cartoons, voodoo objects, graffiti, pre-columbian sculpture or primitive art ceramics. From his drawings emerge totems and fetishes in 3 dimensions, incantatory objects, mutants.
Between construction of forms and free movement, Timothée experiments without limit with texture effects and the pleasure he has working with clay.
