Misun Rheem
Misun Rheem is a curator who specialized on contemporary ceramics and Korean crafts. Currently she is the artistic director of the Korea Ceramic Biennale (KICB) 2024 and a lecturer of the Busan national university. She was the artistic director of the Cheongju Crafts Biennale 2021. She had been the director of crafts division at Korea Crafts & Design Foundation (KCDF) and a committee member of Korea Craft Cultural Industry Promotion. Both organizations affiliated to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, ROK. She had been the former director and the chief curator of Clayarch Gimhae Museum. Her major curatorial exhibitions are the 1st and 2nd GICB International Ceramic Competition, Contemporary Ceramics and IAC & NCECA Member’s exhibition. Korea Now : Korean Craft & Design exhibition at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris in 2015, the Art of Workmanship: Korean Crafts for Pyeongchang Oylmpic Game 2018, Cheongju Craft Biennale 2021 and Trilateral (Korea-China-Japan) Art Festival 2023 are her recent curatorial exhibition and project.
