Rust-en-Vrede Gallery + Clay Museum

Originally built in the 1840s as a prison, this Cape Dutch style building now houses a contemporary art gallery, various art studios and a clay museum. The building was declared a national monument in 1984 and the Clay Museum (the first of its kind in South Africa) was opened in 1986.
